i loved all of the character's separate stories, the plot twists werent expected at all but were a good surprise. also loved the true ending, though not morally right it was cute in a fictional sense. also yuzuki and haruto were both a great couple, sad to see how it turned out for them:(

WOAHHHH!!!! holy CRAP the plot twists were NOT expected (i need to start actually reading descriptions ^_^). i feel so bad for yuzuki and haruto & i love how you portrayed their relationship. the true ending was honestly so sweet (although that isn't ... well... morally sweet... but yk.... fictionally) and the other endings were SO CREATIVE? now that i look back on the plot like everything was *there* from the beginning(-ish). you just left a tiny trail of crumbs :)))) ahhh the storytelling in this was magnificent and i loved both ichigo and yuzuki's routes!!! have a great day and thank you for making this sweet little murderous yandere game :)))) <3
honestly, when I saw the summary for this game, I thought for sure it would be some cliché yandere type story, but after finishing the whole game and getting all the endings, I can say that it was better than I ever imagined. I love the characters and the story was so well written. I loved the plot twists, great game, I highly recommend it!!!
I do wish that there was an option to choose pronouns/gender, or that MC was a bit more androgenous. I love the gay relationship between Haruto and Yuzuki, their relationship felt so natural! I was so happy to see some diversity in the game :)))

Hihi, just finished Yuzuki's route, going to play Ichi's too but omg- this game is wonderful!
I had this in my saved to play, and honestly hadn't any idea I'd love this game as much as I did. The art's nice, the music, the storytelling, the end credits too- being cinematic. Not to forget, the plot twist which we the player believed up until the reveal, it was so shocking and interesting. Very much enjoyed that part as I feel you guys did the plot twist right, it was a nice build up, the background and direction, overall, I loved it!

I like how the game and its writing was more than self-aware that the love between the two was very rushed and forced, not genuine or realistic. It's also nice to know that the Mc actually was being delusional, which even I while playing was saying stuff like, "This seems rushed though, I don't even think he loves you-" and then suspecting him as the odd guy, or maybe the mc just being so invested casting aside rationality.
So, once I got all the outcomes, and then finally the true good ending I was more than happy to see redacted got what they deserved. The lover's aspect was so sweet and captivating I was fully invested, and worrying about how redacted would find out. I really liked the dynamic between the two, it's a nice troupe that I think was done right despite the game being short- even then it was good, and I wanted to know more! So again, love the options, the choices catering to the delusions, her twisted reality, and then the true reality, and her actions coming back to haunt her and bring her back to reality. I love concepts like these, and I would be lying if I said I didn't want to see more from you and anyone else who worked on this project!
Also, for the bestie being odd, I'm so glad this came full circle (despite me not playing his route just yet).
Neways to wrap this up, Overall S tier game! Great all around and giving them realistic personalities despite the wild scenarios at play, it all worked just right not feeling forced outside the perspective intended. If you do have another project coming up- I'd love to tune in and I again appreciate the writing and mechanics. As someone majoring in film and communication hoping to one day make something, this kind of just gave me the further push, so thank you for that too!! This was very fun and engaging it really felt like I was watching a show play out, rather than just a VN game and I came to enjoy the cast as well. Again, wonderful little game <333

Honestly, you're not weird for thinking that Ichigo and Yuzuki might like each other because a handful of other people thought so too. I also planned Yuzuki to have a crush on Ichigo at first (but decided against it in the end lol)

man i tought the art was cute and decided to give it a try and holy heck this surprised me, i knew this was like "yandere game" but the plot twists caught me off guard, i love your storytelling and all the subplots

it's also cool how each route has some things that are implied but you don't discover there, like it is implied but you don't know yuzuki and haruto are lovers in ichigo's route, but there are hints, and you don't know ichigo's a murderer in yuzuki route, and the implications are weaker here, like he acts like a typical jealous yandere, but there still some suspicious things
also ichigo my beloved~ i loved his sprites, his expressions, like how cute he looks but he also can be sassy and serious, in the start of the game i went first into his route because at first i supected more of yuzuki, i tought his perfect student was a facade, and also i read in the resume he seemed to not like aimi so i tought it was better to just hang out with her friend that she already get along well
at the scene of the bird i suspected of ichigo too because of the first shadowy sprite but seeing how he cares about aimi and how cute they are together warmed up my heart and must say even with the hints that there were something wrong with him i didn't expected him to be the murderer
and aimi to be into it, that really surprised me, i loved her design and color scheme, also her personality like , she can be sarcastic and blunt but also atentious and nice,even in the lovey dovey she aways felt like her own character instead of the players husk and i love games like that, every time she tought ichigo's cute i wholehearted agreed with her
it makes me wonder how it would be if ichigo never killed his parents(maybe would be more retracted because of the bad situation and lack of murder to harden his personality) but she was still messed up, like she mentioned how him wanting her to be with him all the time was cute, being how she is i think she would enjoy the dependance, since he would prioritize her above everyone else
and haruto and yuzuki....man poor haruto and yuzuki deserve better, they're really doomed by the narrative, i really was rotting for them to be together, my man haruto is also really cool and then after the flashback i remembered "oh yeah yuzuki's dead...and in ichigo's route haruto is dismembered...", they were happy and seeing your notes about their potential future together makes it hurts even more ;_;
and the universe were they're the yanderes....karma really is a bitch, man they're terrifying, aimi and ichigo 'normal' interactions are really fun , they're cool characters so i can see we feeling bad for them in this situation,actually i can see all the sane version lookig at their yadere counterparts like "just what the hell is wrong with you?"
at the begining of yuzuki route i picked his bad end and tought he was just a cold sadist, then i tought he tought aimi was the murderer, but his death and backstory were a punch in the gut, it's kinda painfull to see the beginig of the game again because you see the group getting along and playing together, and they could be good friends but the situation it's just...

the angst potential is also fantastic, aimi discovering yuzuki fell for her childhood friend, or yuzuki discovering ichigo muderers would be wild and i can't even imagine how ichigo would react to the whole situation

And oh my god the very first version of Yuzuki's route? Okay, I hope you don't mind receiving a long comment from me either haha.
*Spoilers below* So I'd imagine that Haruto just straight up doesn't exist in this AU. Yuzuki and Ichigo know each other since high school, but they only know each other's existence until Aimi starts to talk to Yuzuki. Afterwards, Aimi fell for his kindness and Ichigo being Ichigo, he would decide to investigate (...and by that I mean stalk) Yuzuki just to see if Yuzuki reciprocates or not.
If we're on the canon AU, this is where Ichigo would see him hanging out with Haruto and feel relieved to find out that they're lovers. However, since Haruto doesn't exist, Yuzuki is just all alone. Ichigo couldn't find out what the guy is thinking or if he has any crushes by just stalking him, so then Ichigo would start talking to him and trying to get close to him to gain information (and maybe try to hook him up with some other person that fits Yuzuki's type).
You mentioned it, and yes, those two have kind of a lot of stuff in common. How they're both only putting up a facade and all. Even though their friendship started as a way for Ichigo to get information, in this story, Ichigo and Yuzuki genuinely became pretty close friends. Ichigo started seeing Yuzuki in a better light, while Yuzuki started developing a crush on Ichigo (which is something Ichigo never expected lol).
And that's for the backstory, as for how the route would went, the story would start the same way (minus all the dead bird thing) until the route selection. In Yuzuki's route, Yuzuki would reject Aimi's confession, saying that he has a crush on someone else. Aimi wouldn't kill him out of rage, she only did so in the canon route because he's going to leave town. Since she'll still be able to see Yuzuki, she reluctantly accepts this fact, but then she'd also plan to find out who his crush is and try to ruin everything for them. Yuzuki would ask Aimi for a friendly date regardless and Aimi accepts.
During the valentine's day, they would hang out together (with Aimi occasionally trying to get Yuzuki to spill the beans) until the evening, where Yuzuki says that he has an important business to do and just leaves. Aimi follows him, and this is where we find out that his crush is Ichigo because he dips the MC to go confess to Ichigo (yes this pisses the hell out of Aimi as she feels betrayed and shocks Ichigo to his core LMAO). Ichigo rejected Yuzuki of course, but Aimi left before she could hear him reject Yuzuki because don't we all love miscommunications.
Aimi's anger then turned for the worse. The day after valentine's day, she storms into Ichigo's house and ended up killing him out of rage, right in his parent's room too, because lol the irony. I haven't really thought of how it would go afterwards, honestly. Feel free to come up with your own endings (or if you want to write your own spin to this route, that's absolutely fine too! I'd love to see how you write your take in this situation) if you decide to write the fic (and please send it to me too I want to read it, I'm curious LOL)

I played it with my girlfriend and we had tons of fun reading everything and coming up with theories given new information. We really enjoyed how some endings gave hints to plot lines revealed in other endings. We also got the "life sentence" ending first, so the whole "arrested for murder" part caught us completely off guard.
There were a few grammar mistakes, but nothing incredibly major. Considering this project is several years old, it really isn't that big of a deal.
I do wonder, is Haruto alive in the second chance ending? (the one where the MC is sent to Juvie)
Because presumably Ichigo would still kill him to due him witnessing one of the murders.
So as far as what's explicitly stated, I think Haruto is only alive in the ending where the MC kills Ichigo? Although since Ichigo kills himself one of the endings where the MC kills herself, it would be reasonable to assume he kills himself in the other MC suicide endings as well (Hand and Guilt). Thus, Haruto would be alive in those endings. Can I get any sort of writer's confrmation? haha

In the second chance ending, Haruto is alive because Ichigo is so distraught with Aimi's murder and all, so Haruto escaped to Tokyo in time (I kind of recently created some sort of what-if story for Haruto, that he became a detective after this ending and is hell bent on trying to catch Ichigo in the future)
I honestly forgot that I only said that Haruto would be alive only in the ending where the MC kills Ichigo (because if I said that then don't mind my past self, it's been a while and I sort of don't remember stuff LMAOO, I'm sorry for any inconsistencies). It's definitely the only ending where Haruto and Yuzuki is alive though, yes. And you're definitely right in thinking that Haruto would be alive in the MC suicide endings as well.

When we started the game, we enjoyed that Ichigo's name seemed to match with the color of the fruit. So we restarted our playthrough and named our main character "Ume" after plum. We also laughed after Googling "Yuzuki" and finding out he was also named after a fruit. I also wonder, does the MC's default name, Aimi, have any significance? What about Haruto's name?
My girlfriend says that she would be willing to make an exhaustive list of the grammar issues if you are interested. She enjoys editing as well as proofreading, and we both enjoyed your VN so much we want to help polish it!
Oooh, Ume for plum is a really adorable name for MC! For Aimi, the particular kanji I chose for her name is 愛美 and I believe that means "beautiful love" since she's so obsessed with the idea of romance and all. As for Haruto, I honestly chose his name because Haruto is an extremely common name in Japan LMAO. The kanji I chose for his name is 遥都, which I believe means "distant city", just to reference his goal of escaping to a far away city and away from Ichigo.

"Start" and "Load" seem to work fine though and it seems like she's able to play the game just fine otherwise.

This game is so good wth. I think my favorite is Ichigo (he's so cute even tho he a lil yandere) Also I did not expect that twist from the MC lmao. Really caught me off guard and with Yuzuki too? Damn it's a whole different experience other than some other otome games I've ever played. This inspired me to make a visual novel I've been planning to make for a long time but never had the chance to cuz of college. Keep up the good work! I'm probably not the best person to ask about renpy since I only did the barebone of designing and scripting/coding, I honestly still have much to learn. But a tip from me would be to create backups of your project often, just so you wouldn't lose a lot of your progress if something bad were to happen (I usually create mine in google drive. I just copy and pasted the file there ). Another tip that I have is to visit lemmasoft forums for renpy questions, the renpy discord server, and watch youtube tutorials (for YT, Zeil Learnings' channel really helped me a ton and I will never get tired of recommending that channel to people who's trying to get started with renpy). Make sure to leave notes in the code too so when you can understand what you just did (the lines that start with #).

Learning how to make a game can be frustrating at times, especially for people who don't normally code (like me lol). I mostly only copy paste codes, but even that can be confusing too sometimes. You can try renpy if you're looking to making your own visual novel. It can be confusing when you first use it, but once you get the hang of it, you'll be able to make a simple VN in no time.
And please don't feel bad for rambling! I love reading/listening to people's ramblings LMAO I'm just happy that you're enjoying yourself!

honestly, when I saw the summary for this game, I thought for sure it would be some cliché yandere type story, but after finishing the whole game and getting all the endings, I can say that it was better than I ever imagined. I love the characters and the story was so well written. I loved the plot twists, great game, I highly recommend it!!!
I do wish that there was an option to choose pronouns/gender, or that MC was a bit more androgenous. I love the gay relationship between Haruto and Yuzuki, their relationship felt so natural! I was so happy to see some diversity in the game :)))

I had this in my saved to play, and honestly hadn't any idea I'd love this game as much as I did. The art's nice, the music, the storytelling, the end credits too- being cinematic. Not to forget, the plot twist which we the player believed up until the reveal, it was so shocking and interesting. Very much enjoyed that part as I feel you guys did the plot twist right, it was a nice build up, the background and direction, overall, I loved it!

I like how the game and its writing was more than self-aware that the love between the two was very rushed and forced, not genuine or realistic. It's also nice to know that the Mc actually was being delusional, which even I while playing was saying stuff like, "This seems rushed though, I don't even think he loves you-" and then suspecting him as the odd guy, or maybe the mc just being so invested casting aside rationality.
So, once I got all the outcomes, and then finally the true good ending I was more than happy to see redacted got what they deserved. The lover's aspect was so sweet and captivating I was fully invested, and worrying about how redacted would find out. I really liked the dynamic between the two, it's a nice troupe that I think was done right despite the game being short- even then it was good, and I wanted to know more! So again, love the options, the choices catering to the delusions, her twisted reality, and then the true reality, and her actions coming back to haunt her and bring her back to reality. I love concepts like these, and I would be lying if I said I didn't want to see more from you and anyone else who worked on this project!
Also, for the bestie being odd, I'm so glad this came full circle (despite me not playing his route just yet).
Neways to wrap this up, Overall S tier game! Great all around and giving them realistic personalities despite the wild scenarios at play, it all worked just right not feeling forced outside the perspective intended. If you do have another project coming up- I'd love to tune in and I again appreciate the writing and mechanics. As someone majoring in film and communication hoping to one day make something, this kind of just gave me the further push, so thank you for that too!! This was very fun and engaging it really felt like I was watching a show play out, rather than just a VN game and I came to enjoy the cast as well. Again, wonderful little game <333

man i tought the art was cute and decided to give it a try and holy heck this surprised me, i knew this was like "yandere game" but the plot twists caught me off guard, i love your storytelling and all the subplots

it's also cool how each route has some things that are implied but you don't discover there, like it is implied but you don't know yuzuki and haruto are lovers in ichigo's route, but there are hints, and you don't know ichigo's a murderer in yuzuki route, and the implications are weaker here, like he acts like a typical jealous yandere, but there still some suspicious things
also ichigo my beloved~ i loved his sprites, his expressions, like how cute he looks but he also can be sassy and serious, in the start of the game i went first into his route because at first i supected more of yuzuki, i tought his perfect student was a facade, and also i read in the resume he seemed to not like aimi so i tought it was better to just hang out with her friend that she already get along well
at the scene of the bird i suspected of ichigo too because of the first shadowy sprite but seeing how he cares about aimi and how cute they are together warmed up my heart and must say even with the hints that there were something wrong with him i didn't expected him to be the murderer
and aimi to be into it, that really surprised me, i loved her design and color scheme, also her personality like , she can be sarcastic and blunt but also atentious and nice,even in the lovey dovey she aways felt like her own character instead of the players husk and i love games like that, every time she tought ichigo's cute i wholehearted agreed with her
it makes me wonder how it would be if ichigo never killed his parents(maybe would be more retracted because of the bad situation and lack of murder to harden his personality) but she was still messed up, like she mentioned how him wanting her to be with him all the time was cute, being how she is i think she would enjoy the dependance, since he would prioritize her above everyone else
and haruto and yuzuki....man poor haruto and yuzuki deserve better, they're really doomed by the narrative, i really was rotting for them to be together, my man haruto is also really cool and then after the flashback i remembered "oh yeah yuzuki's dead...and in ichigo's route haruto is dismembered...", they were happy and seeing your notes about their potential future together makes it hurts even more ;_;
and the universe were they're the yanderes....karma really is a bitch, man they're terrifying, aimi and ichigo 'normal' interactions are really fun , they're cool characters so i can see we feeling bad for them in this situation,actually i can see all the sane version lookig at their yadere counterparts like "just what the hell is wrong with you?"
at the begining of yuzuki route i picked his bad end and tought he was just a cold sadist, then i tought he tought aimi was the murderer, but his death and backstory were a punch in the gut, it's kinda painfull to see the beginig of the game again because you see the group getting along and playing together, and they could be good friends but the situation it's just...

And oh my god the very first version of Yuzuki's route? Okay, I hope you don't mind receiving a long comment from me either haha.
*Spoilers below*
So I'd imagine that Haruto just straight up doesn't exist in this AU. Yuzuki and Ichigo know each other since high school, but they only know each other's existence until Aimi starts to talk to Yuzuki. Afterwards, Aimi fell for his kindness and Ichigo being Ichigo, he would decide to investigate (...and by that I mean stalk) Yuzuki just to see if Yuzuki reciprocates or not.
If we're on the canon AU, this is where Ichigo would see him hanging out with Haruto and feel relieved to find out that they're lovers. However, since Haruto doesn't exist, Yuzuki is just all alone. Ichigo couldn't find out what the guy is thinking or if he has any crushes by just stalking him, so then Ichigo would start talking to him and trying to get close to him to gain information (and maybe try to hook him up with some other person that fits Yuzuki's type).
You mentioned it, and yes, those two have kind of a lot of stuff in common. How they're both only putting up a facade and all. Even though their friendship started as a way for Ichigo to get information, in this story, Ichigo and Yuzuki genuinely became pretty close friends. Ichigo started seeing Yuzuki in a better light, while Yuzuki started developing a crush on Ichigo (which is something Ichigo never expected lol).
And that's for the backstory, as for how the route would went, the story would start the same way (minus all the dead bird thing) until the route selection. In Yuzuki's route, Yuzuki would reject Aimi's confession, saying that he has a crush on someone else. Aimi wouldn't kill him out of rage, she only did so in the canon route because he's going to leave town. Since she'll still be able to see Yuzuki, she reluctantly accepts this fact, but then she'd also plan to find out who his crush is and try to ruin everything for them. Yuzuki would ask Aimi for a friendly date regardless and Aimi accepts.
During the valentine's day, they would hang out together (with Aimi occasionally trying to get Yuzuki to spill the beans) until the evening, where Yuzuki says that he has an important business to do and just leaves. Aimi follows him, and this is where we find out that his crush is Ichigo because he dips the MC to go confess to Ichigo (yes this pisses the hell out of Aimi as she feels betrayed and shocks Ichigo to his core LMAO). Ichigo rejected Yuzuki of course, but Aimi left before she could hear him reject Yuzuki because don't we all love miscommunications.
Aimi's anger then turned for the worse. The day after valentine's day, she storms into Ichigo's house and ended up killing him out of rage, right in his parent's room too, because lol the irony. I haven't really thought of how it would go afterwards, honestly. Feel free to come up with your own endings (or if you want to write your own spin to this route, that's absolutely fine too! I'd love to see how you write your take in this situation) if you decide to write the fic (and please send it to me too I want to read it, I'm curious LOL)

I just finished all endings!
I played it with my girlfriend and we had tons of fun reading everything and coming up with theories given new information. We really enjoyed how some endings gave hints to plot lines revealed in other endings. We also got the "life sentence" ending first, so the whole "arrested for murder" part caught us completely off guard.
There were a few grammar mistakes, but nothing incredibly major. Considering this project is several years old, it really isn't that big of a deal.
I do wonder, is Haruto alive in the second chance ending? (the one where the MC is sent to Juvie)
Because presumably Ichigo would still kill him to due him witnessing one of the murders.
So as far as what's explicitly stated, I think Haruto is only alive in the ending where the MC kills Ichigo? Although since Ichigo kills himself one of the endings where the MC kills herself, it would be reasonable to assume he kills himself in the other MC suicide endings as well (Hand and Guilt). Thus, Haruto would be alive in those endings. Can I get any sort of writer's confrmation? haha

In the second chance ending, Haruto is alive because Ichigo is so distraught with Aimi's murder and all, so Haruto escaped to Tokyo in time (I kind of recently created some sort of what-if story for Haruto, that he became a detective after this ending and is hell bent on trying to catch Ichigo in the future)
I honestly forgot that I only said that Haruto would be alive only in the ending where the MC kills Ichigo (because if I said that then don't mind my past self, it's been a while and I sort of don't remember stuff LMAOO, I'm sorry for any inconsistencies). It's definitely the only ending where Haruto and Yuzuki is alive though, yes. And you're definitely right in thinking that Haruto would be alive in the MC suicide endings as well.

When we started the game, we enjoyed that Ichigo's name seemed to match with the color of the fruit. So we restarted our playthrough and named our main character "Ume" after plum. We also laughed after Googling "Yuzuki" and finding out he was also named after a fruit. I also wonder, does the MC's default name, Aimi, have any significance? What about Haruto's name?
My girlfriend says that she would be willing to make an exhaustive list of the grammar issues if you are interested. She enjoys editing as well as proofreading, and we both enjoyed your VN so much we want to help polish it!
Oooh, Ume for plum is a really adorable name for MC! For Aimi, the particular kanji I chose for her name is 愛美 and I believe that means "beautiful love" since she's so obsessed with the idea of romance and all. As for Haruto, I honestly chose his name because Haruto is an extremely common name in Japan LMAO. The kanji I chose for his name is 遥都, which I believe means "distant city", just to reference his goal of escaping to a far away city and away from Ichigo.

"Start" and "Load" seem to work fine though and it seems like she's able to play the game just fine otherwise.

I'm probably not the best person to ask about renpy since I only did the barebone of designing and scripting/coding, I honestly still have much to learn. But a tip from me would be to create backups of your project often, just so you wouldn't lose a lot of your progress if something bad were to happen (I usually create mine in google drive. I just copy and pasted the file there ). Another tip that I have is to visit lemmasoft forums for renpy questions, the renpy discord server, and watch youtube tutorials (for YT, Zeil Learnings' channel really helped me a ton and I will never get tired of recommending that channel to people who's trying to get started with renpy). Make sure to leave notes in the code too so when you can understand what you just did (the lines that start with #).
Hopefully these tips could help somehow! Excited to see more from you as well! :D

Learning how to make a game can be frustrating at times, especially for people who don't normally code (like me lol). I mostly only copy paste codes, but even that can be confusing too sometimes. You can try renpy if you're looking to making your own visual novel. It can be confusing when you first use it, but once you get the hang of it, you'll be able to make a simple VN in no time.
And please don't feel bad for rambling! I love reading/listening to people's ramblings LMAO I'm just happy that you're enjoying yourself!
